2021 Important Recital Info

As you are aware, this year has presented us with many challenges. This pandemic has taken a toll on everyone, but it has made several things more clear. The main re-realization is that our dancers love to dance, and our teachers love to teach! We are blessed to have what we have. We are overjoyed to be able to dance again! Several things will have to be different at this year's recital. Please bear with us as we try to accommodate everyone's needs. We still have very strict COVID guidelines that we must follow. Thank you for support.

We would like to invite you join us at our 56th annual recital, "That's Entertainment." The dates are Friday, June 11, 2021 at 7:00pm and Saturday, June 12, 2021, at 2:00pm. All performances will be at the Center of the Arts at Wesley Chapel High School. Your student has been given their dance schedule for both performances.

TICKETS: Due to COVID, the studio is only allowed to sell 340 tickets to each performance (usually 900) Each family will be able to purchase up to 4 tickets for each performance on "Ticket Day." On that day, we will be taking names on a "Will Call List" for remaining available tickets after Ticket Day. "Ticket Day" is on Saturday, May 22, from 8:00am - 1:00pm. Please plan to purchase your tickets on that day. Remaining tickets will be available to people on the Will Call List on "Will Call Day" Friday, May 27, from 3:00pm - 7:00pm. Any available tickets may be purchased May 28th through Wednesday, June 9, at the studio for $20.00 each. You will be able to choose your seats on a first-come, first-served basis. Members of the Gold and Platinum Friendship Circles will be able to choose their tickets before they go on sale to the public. Please see Ms. Mary Ann before May 20.  All tickets must be paid for at time of purchase and your tuition must be current. Remaining tickets may or may not be available at the door.

PROGRAM: This is your chance to make sure everyone knows your special student is a STAR! You can send them just a little note of encouragement, or you can fill up a whole page with baby pictures (or current pictures), family wishes, or business advertisements. Make sure we save you enough space!  All copies must be turned in to the studio by May 22nd.

COSTUMES: Costumes will be tried on and distributed the week of May 31st during the student's regular class times.  All dancers are required to have the proper tights and shoes for each dance. The girl's hair should be up in a bun. No make-up, please.

FEES: All recital fees are due! All accounts are to be paid in full by June 9th. If for some reason this is impossible, please make personal arrangements NOW! A final statement has been provided in your recital package showing your balance due through the end of the 20-21 year, including June, for your convenience.  Please contact the studio if you have ANY questions about your account.  *Remember you can now use Venmo for your convenience, @MaryAnn-Blackwood (not available for ticket sales).

DONATIONS:  We are gratefully accepting monetary donations toward our exorbitant theater costs.  Join our "Circle of Friends" for as little as $10.00 or as much as you are able.  Please share the flier enclosed in the recital package with friends and businesses that might be interested in supporting our youth in the arts.

REHEARSALS: The last day of classes in the studio will be Friday, June 4th. During recital week, rehearsals on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday will be at the studio. We are asking you not bring your blankets and pillows. If you are not in the section being rehearsed, you are welcomed to get a snack from the Star Company Cafe and have a picnic outside. Friday and Saturday rehearsals will be at Wesley Chapel High School. Each student will be allowed to bring 1 chaperone to the rehearsals. You will be guided to appropriate seating when you arrive. Your rehearsal schedules are included in the recital package. PLEASE post this schedule where it will not be lost. ALL rehearsals are very important.

T-SHIRTS: 56th Anniversary "That's Entertainment" T-shirts will be available soon. If you would like to pre-order yours, please return the enclosed order form. They will be on sale for $20.00 each. Pre-order yours by May 22nd.

PERFORMANCE VIDEOS: We have made arrangements to have high quality recordings available of each performance so that you may enjoy the show and have a keepsake to share. The children love to see themselves and their friends perform. An order form is enclosed in the recital package. Flash drives will be mailed to the address on the order form. Order Early!

PICTURES: D&B Photography will be taking group and individual portraits at the studio on Saturday, June 5th and June 6th. Appointment times will be assigned by groups. Please plan to attend so we will have you in at least the group photos (no purchase necessary!). More information will be available soon.
